Developing Health and Independence will be shining a spotlight on the experiences of young people with a loved one using drugs at their annual Reach Out conference.
Rosie Phillips, Chief Executive of DHI, said “This year has seen a lot more attention given to the children of alchoholics, with MPs sharing their own experiences of having an alcoholic parent and the government announcing an extra £6 million to support children affected by alcoholism.
The event will feature a short film, personal stories and an exhibition of available services for families and carers. The event is free and taking place at Somerdale Pavillion, Keynsham on 14th June, 11am – 3pm.
