The aim of the show is to introduce listeners to exceptional music drawn from a diverse range of genres. A typical show might include a newly emerging folk act from a remote Scottish isle, a classic tune from a veteran of Ghanaian highlife, some irresistibly danceable jazz evocative of a hip New York basement club and a couple of hits by original artists who achieved mainstream success against the odds

This is a show for fans of Folk music, Country AND Western, Americana, Rock and Blues. More importantly it’s a show for fans of hybrids of those genres, Folk/Rock, Blues/Rock, Folk/Metal and those who are always open to hearing something new. I will be playing everything from traditional acoustic folk songs that date back hundreds of years but which modern artists have re-interpreted to songs in other languages and tracks that borrow from artists and blend styles to create whole new exciting music.

Somer Valley Voice is a celebration of the spoken word in all its glorious forms. Readings of poetry, book extracts and plays, with anecdotes and original material. Local writers are welcome to get in touch! We like to have discussions about the pieces we read, why we chose them and recommendations. Each show has its own theme to draw inspiration from and we also produce the classic seasonal themes such as Valentine’s, Halloween and Christmas! The show is a combination of drama, tragedy and of course comedy, put together by actors and writers, mixed in with some great music for an hour of creativity. So grab a mug of hot cocoa and settle in with us for a relaxed hour of story time!

The aim of Congo Iain's Reggae Selection is to bring listeners a variety of all genres of the art form that is called Reggae. Taking selections from Bluebeat, Ska, Rocksteady, Dub, Roots, Lovers, Dancehall, Ragga, and all blends in-between , this new regular show will allow the listeners to Skank, Wind, and move in time with the beat and the"ridim" or simply "shuffle those shoes". With special features classic album tracks from the vault, and genre-busting tracks.
